Overview
This article covers anything on adviserce.com that will not load or behave — a lesson that will not open, a Next button that does nothing, being bounced back to the sign-in page mid-course, progress that does not appear to save, or a page on the main site such as the catalog or checkout failing to load.
Your progress is saved automatically as you go. Nothing below will cost you your place in the course, so you can safely refresh, sign out, or switch browsers.
Start Here: The Three Fixes That Resolve Most Cases
Refresh the page. A single lesson that fails to render is usually a one-off load failure.
Sign out completely, then sign back in. This clears a stale session, which is the most common cause of being sent back to the sign-in page while moving between lessons.
Open the course in a private/incognito window. This bypasses cached data and disabled-by-default extensions in one step, and tells you immediately whether the problem is your browser profile rather than the course.
If step 3 works, the fix is to clear your normal browser's cache and cookies for adviserce.com, or to disable extensions — ad blockers and privacy extensions are the usual culprits.
If those three did not help
Check your connection. An unstable connection makes pages load partially or not at all, which can look like a broken page rather than a network problem.
Update your browser. A browser more than a few versions behind can fail on pages that work everywhere else.
Restart your device. Worth one try before contacting us, and occasionally it is the answer.
Specific Problems
I keep getting sent back to the sign-in page
This is a session problem, not a password problem. Sign out fully (do not just close the tab), close the browser, reopen it, and sign in again. If your firm uses a VPN or a security proxy that rotates your connection, that can invalidate a session repeatedly — try from a personal device or off the VPN to confirm.
The Next button does nothing, or I can't advance past a lesson
Refresh the page first. If it persists, check whether the lesson has an action you have not completed yet — a quiz needs to be submitted, and a survey needs to be filled in and submitted before the course will move on. Scroll to the bottom of the lesson to make sure you are not missing a button below the fold.
My progress doesn't seem to be saving
Progress is recorded per lesson as you complete it. Two things commonly cause it to look lost:
You are signed in to a different account than the one that owns the course. If you have used more than one email address with us, check that you are in the right account.
Private/incognito mode. Use it to diagnose a problem, then return to a normal window to do the course.
The final assessment won't open
Refresh, then sign out and back in. If the exam still will not launch, try a different browser before contacting us — exams are the most sensitive part of the course to extension interference.
My course still shows in progress after I passed the exam
This is almost never a technical fault. A course completes only when every lesson is complete, and the Course Survey — which sits immediately before the Final Assessment — is the one most often skipped. Reopen the course and look through the curriculum for any lesson not marked complete.
A page on the main site won't load — the catalog, a course page, or checkout
Work through the three fixes at the top first; they apply to the public site exactly as they do inside a course. If a checkout page specifically is failing, the cause is more often the payment step than the page — see Troubleshooting Payment Issues for Your Course Purchase.
If the site will not load at all on any browser or device, that is worth telling us about rather than troubleshooting further — it may be an outage on our side rather than anything you can fix.
Browser Recommendations
Use a current version of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari. Courses are text-based and work on any modern browser, on desktop, tablet, or phone, and you can move between devices without losing your place. Very old browsers, or browsers with strict privacy modes and script blocking enabled, are the most likely to have trouble.
Still Stuck?
Contact us at [email protected] and include:
The course name and the lesson title where the problem happens
What you see (a blank area, a spinner, an error message, or a redirect to sign-in)
Your browser and device, and whether it also happens in a private window or another browser
That last point saves a full round trip — with it we can usually identify the cause on first reply.
